Creating and constructing projects students will LOVE with Quilt As you Go

Participants will create a quilt as you go block that can be used as a table runner, quilt block or tote. No prior quilting experience needed. These skills and ideas will help engage students in a variety of creative and constructive techniques that will allow for creativity, textile construction, problem solving and ownership of their finished project. A unique and rewarding way to build the love of sewing and a gateway into the world of quilting that is accessible to students of all ages. Also It's a great way to use up scraps as a fast finisher project.
(Participants will need to provide their own fabric. Project supplies list will be provided before the conference)

From income and taxes to budgeting, housing, a car loan, insurance, food and entertainment, this project puts it all right there in front of them and lets them face the REALITY they selected. No fake jobs or circumstances. Work with the partner you choose to set up the reality, you choose together and then let it all roll out. Just like the real world. You will receive your own copy of the project that students talk about decades after they’ve left high school. Originally designed by Deann Judd, this project has undergone over 30 years of updates and is more relevant today than ever. Learn the strategies to teach it and the tips and tricks of correcting it without losing your mind. It can be done.
