Participants will create a quilt as you go block that can be used as a table runner, quilt block or tote. No prior quilting experience needed. These skills and ideas will help engage students in a variety of creative and constructive techniques that will allow for creativity, textile construction, problem solving and ownership of their finished project. A unique and rewarding way to build the love of sewing and a gateway into the world of quilting that is accessible to students of all ages. Do you dread teaching sewing? Come to learn about successful (and simple!) scaffolds you can put in place to increase your organization and efficiency as a teacher. You will also learn about my Sewing License process I use with my students to gradually build their confidence with operating a sewing machine in a fun but structured way!
